Join us at Wilmington International Airport (ILM) for Static Military and Civilian Display Days!
In partnership with Wilmington International Airport, experience the excitement of aviation up close in the state that started it all, North Carolina, First in Flight. Guests can explore military and commercial aircraft, snap incredible photos, and meet the skilled pilots and crew members who bring these planes to life.
We are also honored to welcome the North Carolina Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association (NCVHPA), founded in 1989. The NCVHPA will be bringing helicopters for display at this year’s event, offering a powerful and up close look at these historic aircraft. The organization’s mission is to promote and perpetuate the bonds of brotherhood that bind a group of men who have shared and survived an experience fraught with danger, yet filled with the essence of pride and satisfaction. Their presence adds a meaningful tribute to the courage, service, and legacy of Vietnam helicopter pilots.
Event hours are Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.
Come hungry, because food trucks will be on site serving up delicious bites and local favorites throughout the event.
Whether you are an aviation enthusiast, curious to learn more about aircraft, or looking to add something unique to your Festival week, this event is a must see. Celebrate North Carolina’s proud aviation legacy and see how that pioneering spirit continues to soar today.
Best of all, admission is COMPLETELY FREE for all guests. Come enjoy a day of discovery, inspiration, and fun at ILM!
