We are thrilled to officially announce India as our 2026 International Blooms country of honor! India is a land of ancient traditions, diverse cultures, and extraordinary artistry. From intricate textile crafts and classical dance to vibrant festivals and spiritual heritage, Indian culture has shaped history across millennia.
We are proud to share that Dr. Sejal Patel of UNCW has been appointed as the Committee Chair to lead and coordinate all International Blooms events. Dr. Patel is also a member and past President of the Cape Fear Cultural Association of India (CFCAI.org), our local group dedicated to sharing and celebrating Indian culture.
Today is especially meaningful as it’s Diwali, the Festival of Lights, celebrated by millions around the world. Diwali marks the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Homes glow with diyas and lanterns, sweets and gifts are shared, and communities gather in joy and connection.
A special thank you to Dr. Patel for sharing these wonderful photos of her family’s Diwali celebration! ✨
We can’t wait to bring these beautiful traditions to life at the Festival. Get ready for an entire year of celebrating Indian culture, creativity, and connection. 2026 is going to shine brighter than ever! 🌟 … See MoreSee Less
