Artwork is now being accepted for the 2014 Children’s Art Contest.
Artwork is being accepted in two divisions: Elementary School (K-5) and Middle School (6-8). The winning artist in both divisions will receive tickets to Festival events, attend the Governor’s Press Conference in Raleigh to meet the Governor, rides in the Azalea Festival Parade, and receives an Official 2014 Limited Edition Festival Print, among other prizes. Second and third places in both divisions receive gift packages as well.
Each year we receive over 200 pieces of artwork, with many of the pieces receiving recognition in the Community Arts Center and other places around town during the Azalea Festival. These select artists receive a free ticket to the Opening Night of the April TACT production on April 4, 2014.
