It was such a thrill to be able to attend the Art Unveiling for the 69th North Carolina Azalea Festival. It was a wonderful evening, and was so exciting to be one of the first people to see the artwork for our upcoming Festival!
I was very honored to be able to meet this year’s artist, Mary Ellen Golden. She shared with us the process that she went through to create the painting, and how she transformed it from pictures she had taken into a beautiful watercolor painting. The finished product is absolutely gorgeous, and we are all so thankful for the time she put into creating it!
It was also nice to see some of the people that I have met along my journey as Princess and reconnect with them. Everyone has been so welcoming and it makes me realize that I am a part of a big, happy family. I thoroughly enjoyed this evening and being a part of the Art Unveiling.
