Entry: 1:30pm.

Pre-Show Start: 2:30pm. 

Event Start: 3:00pm.

Anticipated Meet & Greet Start: 3:00pm.

Anticipated Event End: 4:00pm.

Parking

Event parking will be available at the Battleship parking lots. Any rideshare transportation may drop off participants at the main entrance of the venue. The Battleship NORTH CAROLINA offers ADA parking at the venue.

What To Bring

Please bring electronic devices if you wish to take photos of the Coronation, Queen Azalea, or any Invited Guests. We will have professional photographers on-site capturing every moment of the day. These photos will be available for purchase on the Festival website after the conclusion of the event. We ask that you bring a positive attitude, a smile, and good spirits to all of our events.

Accessibility

Guests who require ADA accommodations will have access to ADA parking spots available at the Battleship with the appropriate ADA pass. Visitors in wheelchairs or walkers may safely visit the main deck of the Battleship where the Coronation occurs. Please note that entry onto the Battleship is via a long ramp with a steep incline.

Food & Drink

Outside food and beverages are not permitted at this event. Concessions are available for sale at the Visitor Center.

Entertainment & Activities

The Queen’s Coronation is the first event that kicks off the start of Festival week. There will be local entertainment, introduction of the Queen’s Court and Cadets, Invited Guests, and Queen Azalea. The Queen will officially be crowned, and a meet and greet will be held following the ceremony.

Amenities & Services

Restroom facilities will be available at the Battleship. Any items that are left on-site by guests will be returned to the Battleship lost & found. 

Weather Contingencies

This is an outdoor rain or shine event. In the case of inclement weather, the Festival will announce any and all event changes on social media.

Ticket Information

The Queen’s Coronation is FREE for all to attend. This event is the perfect way to kick off Festival week, and get in the Festival spirit for no price!
