Lobby Doors Open: 6:30pm.

Auditorium Doors Open: 7:00pm.

Event Start: 7:30pm.

Anticipated Event End: 10:00pm.

Parking

Event parking will be available at UNCW’s Kenan Auditorium. Any rideshare transportation may drop off guests and participants at the Auditorium’s main entrance. UNCW offers ADA parking at the venue.

What To Bring

We ask that you bring a positive attitude, a smile, and good spirits to all of our events. We ask that guests do not engage in flash photography during the event. We will have professional photographers on-site capturing every moment of the night. These photos will be available for purchase on the Festival website after the conclusion of the event. 

Accessibility

Guests who require ADA accommodations will have access to ADA parking spots available at Kenan Auditorium with the appropriate ADA pass. UNCW also offers ADA friendly entry to the venue space, and we ask all of our guests to use these entry ways as they need. ADA seating will be available inside the venue. We ask guests to keep these seats clear for guests who require ADA seating.

Food & Drink

Outside food and beverage is not permitted at this event. Concessions, including alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase in the lobby.

Entertainment & Activities

This event is packed full of entertainment for guests to enjoy. All contestants will perform an introduction routine, followed by an introduction of the current Festival Princess. We will then move into introducing the emcee of the night, along with the panel of judges. The current Festival President will introduce themself, then lead us into the Evening Gown portion of the night. Guests and Pageant contestants will receive a 15 minute intermission, before continuing the night of competition. Visiting Queens will be recognized as a group from their seats in the audience, and semi-finalists will be announced following the intermission. The current Princess will give her farewells, and we will move into awarding the scholarship recipients. The new Azalea Festival Princess will then be crowned. Immediately at the conclusion at the event, the new Princess Court will have professional photos taken on-stage. We ask that family, friends, and other guests remain in the main auditorium at this time.

Amenities & Services

Kenan Auditorium has restroom facilities available on-site in the main lobby. Any items that are left on-site by guests will be returned to the Kenan Auditorium lost & found. 

Weather Contingencies

This is an indoor event. In the case of severe inclement weather, the Festival will announce any and all event changes on social media.

Ticket Information

All ticket sales will be conducted in person at the Festival Ticket Office, located at 5725 Oleander Drive, Unit B7. Tickets will be available for purchase on-site the day of the event at 6:30pm in the venue lobby. However, we encourage guests to purchase tickets in advance to avoid long lines and risk of selling out. Tickets will not be sold anywhere online, so we encourage guests to visit our office to purchase their tickets. Tickets provide guests with entry into Kenan Auditorium, and all seating is first-come-first-serve. Reserved seating will be marked with signage for sponsors, Festival Board members, and any invited dignitaries and guests. Visiting pageant title holders will receive one free admission ticket. All chaperones, parents, and siblings of title-holders must purchase a ticket.
