The North Carolina Azalea Festival has a paid professional staff of 3 employees who work year-round alongside our Board of Directors, volunteers, community partners, and sponsors to bring the annual Festival to bloom each year.

Each spring semester the North Carolina Azalea Festival hires seasonal interns from our local colleges to aid in various activities of the Festival. Past interns have worked alongside our Street Fair team, our Parade team, our Ticket Office team, and alongside our Executive Director in sponsorships, marketing, graphic design, and event planning. Interns start in January and work through the Azalea Festival, and are required to be available and on-site during Festival week. Interns must give at least 10/hours a week with time increasing closer to the Festival. A limited number of 40/hour a week internships are also available. The Azalea Festival hires a handful of seasonal team members from January - April. These team members will assist in the Ticket Office with general administrative duties - answering phones, greeting guests, selling tickets, etc. We look for motivated, cheerful team members who love Wilmington and giving back to their community!
